Re: jrotc

Yes, I'm in JROTC. It's a military course in Highschool. I'm guessing you're in 10th grade? Where do you live and what highschool do you go to? You should probably have the program in your highschool.

JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer Training Course) is basically a course designed to help teenagers learn leadership and become better citizens. I'm in it because it gets you a higher rank when you join the military. 2 years and I get PFC in the Marine Corps when I join. Just like the military there are different branches in JROTC depending on what your school chooses or is closest to. My JROTC is AJROTC (Army), there's MJROTC (Marine), NJROTC (Navy) and AFJROTC (Air Force).

You should check with your school counselor, I'm sure he/she will be able to look it up and find out where the closest one is for you, if your highschool doesn't already have it.

Also, in JROTC you wear uniforms, do drill, do PT and so on. It's pretty cool and it teaches you alot of discipline along with giving you some tips on when you join the military if you do.
