airborne Q&A for upcoming novel

I am doing research for a fiction novel, and it is necessary that the setting be on a military base—quite specifically, Fort Campbell. Several of the characters, including a woman, must be enlisted. Unfortunately, I know little (or at least not enough) about everyday military life on active duty. While there are plenty of docs about glamorous subjects like guns and covert operations (about which I know plenty, thanks to Tom Clancy, lol), info about the minutia of military life is less common.

Any sources of information will be listed in the special thanks section of the novel, if desired. I do not expect it to be finished for 18 mths. or so, but when it is, I will post the title and publisher on the thread bearing the same title in the Army General Disscusions section.

Due to the nature of the info I need, I request that this thread ONLY be responded to by people who are enlisted in the army, or have been in the past. Please respond to the thread in the Army General Disscusions section.
