Field Sailor is right about where you are working--but you need to consider what it is that you want to do. 98G's are the Listeners: they generally intercept foreign voice transmissions, so you will have to learn a language (the Army will send you to the training). 98C's are the Analyizers: they take what the 98G's intercept (as well as other MOS's) and they make use of the intelligence information. You'll probably do a lot more tactical stuff as a 98G than a 98C, but that doesn't mean that you won't get deployed as a 98C. I have a lot of friends who are deployed right now in the field. Both are good jobs, you just need to determine what it is that you want to do. Also, you need to consider if you are actually a good listener or not. If your mind wanders off in conversations...being a 98G probably isn't a good choice for you.
