There were US Army people at the seage of Khe Sanh that were there for whole 77 days and a lot more that were niver in a fire fight and were not grunts. They do not rate the CIB. If you ain't a grunt you don't get the CIB plain and simple. There's a reason it's called the Combat Infantry Badge but I'm not gonna get started on that arguement again.
