He's not legally obligated to anything until he reports to MEPS and officially swears in on his shipout date. All he has to do is tell the recruiter he has changed his mind. Whatever bull the recruiter tries to tell him after that isn't true. It won't adversly effect him in any way and they can't force him to go.

I strongly encourage him to not go as a matter of fact. If he doesn't want to be a soldier, we don't want him. If you need anymore help send a PM my way and I'll give you whatever advice you may need.
