As this is an old post " I just thought I would continue the thread with a bit more information for anyone who is going off to Drill Sergeant School in the near future"

There is also the 104th training Div out of the NorthWest that provides a DSS, the reserves is slowly changing over to a 2x2x2 (week phases) to meet TRADOC's requirements. As opposed to the 2 x 5 x 2 (2weeks/5monthdrills/2weeks)

My suggestion before you go to Drill Sergeant school, is to learn your modules (they can be found on the Fort Jackson DSS website) as most students have problems with memorizing them. Also if you have been out for a while, double check the new PT standards as they have changed and many returning soldiers do not know the drills.
