Very true. My unit is also experiencing a boot drop, aka an influx of new Marines. They're meshing well with the "been there/done that" crowd so far, for the most part. There isn't a major reserve unit around that hasn't proven itself in combat at least once in this war, some more than once. As a former active duty Marine and current reserve Marine, I hope that the weekend warrior stigma is falling to the wayside. The Marine Reserve, more so than the reserve components of our sister services, is on par with our active duty counterparts. Performance under fire is the proof.
