Have you ever though about that fact that someone else might have your same first and last name? What if one day they decide to create a porn site using your name? or they commit some crime or murder and someone makes a site about it..
My name is very unique but I still did a search using google to see if it was on the net anywhere. I only found it on a few sites...
Anyhow, just something to think about. I decided to buy the
.com .org .net .us .info of my first and last name (ie: firstnamelastname.com) so that I wouldn't have to worry about it. The
.com would have been the best one to get if I only wanted to buy one but I figured that getting the main TLD's would be the best thing so that they can't use the second best choices... Since I might not ever use them for anything right now (I might when I get older...) it's still nice to know now one else can.
Note, If you live in the UK or Europe the best ones to buy would be:
.co.uk
.me.uk (used for a person)
.eu
(and I would still get .com .net and .org because these are world wide and the most popular...)
As far as the .name (meant for personal names, U.S. version of .me.uk) goes I'm really not sold on it... It's to long and when you can get a .com which would you buy?
