Batgirl - I just noticed you're a (fairly) newly minted 2Lt (Second LEFTenant, is it). Congrats.

I'll be spending Veterans Day with my grandson, Christopher (if he has off, he goes to a Catholic school, and their holidays are iffy), probably fishing. Chris' dad is home on R&R and will be heading back to Afganistan on Sunday, he started the year in Iraq. He's a contractor maintaining Army Sat Comm equipment. He also spent 5 months in Iraq as a Reservist doing the same job for the Air Force.

Anyhoo, we're basically a mil fam; my dad was Army, my father-in-law was Navy then CIA, my brother-in-law retired from the Army, and I retired from the USAF, therefore we are recipients of the holiday.
