I do have a few questions that I hope someone here has an answer too!

Not a question per se so I didn't comment on it in my first reponse to you but since you want rudeness.... Hey you live on the water that kind of shit happens.

I got online to "Yahoo Advanced Member Search", to see if anyone in Iraq near Baghdad was online. I found hundreds of people on Yahoo members search. THEN WOW... I found a Journalist working at a Newspaper office in Baghdad online right then and there, so who better to ask than a Journalist from Baghdad Iraq about "if he had heard about Ivan hitting the Caymans. I knew if he had heard about Ivan, then our friend working in Iraq had heard about Ivan also. I know our friend would have at the least tried to contact us, but months after Ivan hit he had never contacted us. And to this day "3 years later" we have never heard anything from or about him at all. So we don't know what has happened to him.

Not a direct question but an implied one. In short, once your power and commo was restored you tried to re-establish commo with your friend in the sandbox. You discovered a reporter pogue there and in a round about way tried to see if maybe your friend heard you went through a hurricane (re-interject comment vs living on the ocean). Now three years later you still haven't been able to contact your friend. Here's the implied question that you're trying to find a way to contact somebody overseas in a war zone. This is the part I have a problem with.

NOW.... Since then' the Iraqi Journalist from Baghdad whom I have kept in close contact with since Ivan on Yahoo messenger has become a really great friend to both myself and my husband. We always chatted at least 3 to 4 times a week, now no word at all has come from him. I haven't chatted with him now since last month, 7/8/07.

Next implied question. Now you've lost contact with your reporter pogue and would like to find a way to contact him/her. Me personally, I could care less about reporters so I could care less about this one so I again ignored it.

My QUESTION is: Has something happened to the Internet Provider in Baghdad? Or could there be a power problem in that area? I know with all the bombing I hear about on the news there could be something like that wrong with the I.P. or power stations. BUT I am not sure at all.......

Ah! A direct question. What's up with the internet in the sand box. Now remember, you started your "story" looking for a friend in Iraq three years running. I'm assuming that you'd still like to contact this friend and maybe are thinking that the internet has been down these three years. While I find that concept monumentally stupid beyond the pale I never take anything to chance. Hence my first question to you. Why would you think the internet has been down for three years? To spell it out to you so you might grasp this, I'm basically asking for clarification on what exactly you are looking for and conveying to you my interpretation of what I read in your post despite how rediculously stupid I think it is.

I am very worried about my Iraqi friend. Does anyone here have any answers?

Another reiteration that I find reporters akin to parasites I'm assuming here that you are really looking for your friend. You remember, the one you've been out of touch with for the past three years? So I gotta wonder is the internet the only way you can contact your friend. Hence my question regarding the ability to use a phone to contact mutual friends and/or relatives to re-establish contact with your friend. And instead of beating around the bush with the parasite...er, reporter friend why not just ask him to help you directly? Hence my third question regarding how you might have gone about doing just that.

Bottom line, your initial post sounded like you were trying to find a way to contact this friend that you lost touch with now three years running and he's in Iraq. We don't do that. Hence my final statement on my initial post to you regarding why you wouldn't find any answers here in that regards.

Maybe but you did imply it. And "please read my first posting again". If it was apparent that I misread what exactly you were asking how would re-reading the same crap make it any more clearer. Instead of clarifying yourself you tell me to go back and read. Who's being rude now again?

I said "sounded like" BS, not "is" BS. That seems pretty clear to me. Some of the other members here might be able to help you out but I'm pretty much sure I'm done with you. I won't say you've come to the wrong place, maybe just don't know where you've come to. Trust me, I do know how to make people feel bad and I've been going out of my way not to do that with you. If you've been hurt well...., sucks to be you. I'm old school military hanging out on a military oriented site. I don't play patty cakes and I don't sugar coat things. Calling me rude doesn't phase me in the least but you should look in the fucking mirror before you start casting stones. Most especially at military people on a military oriented site.

I don't think I was rude in how I ask my 2 questions, BUT you being rude to me is not a nice way to treat someone who is just asking a simple question about the IP in Iraq.
