question
okay, ive spent endless hours working with a recruiter about joining the marine corps. im sure he is ticked off on the amount of time he has spent, but i appreciate it none the less. anyhow i wanna join the marine corps. but i want to attend college as well at uco(top criminal justice school in nation). the recruiter is pressuring me to sign before i head off to college. but i really want to get setttled with my first year in college and get all the hard shit done before i take on another task. but i am thinkin about signing for boot camp my freshman year so i can go to boot the summer before sophmore year. reserves of coarse.
the recruiter told me i could go in the electronics feild, so i could get back in time from boot to go to school. but i really want to do infantry. which i dont mind doin electronics during college and then going active infantry after college. i guess teh question is, is this a completly stupid idea, or is it easy to transfer from a reserve electronics mos, which i would have served 3 years in, then change to a active infantry mos.
the reason the recruiter suggested teh electronics feild was cause they are less likely to get called up. so i could be apart of the corps, and hopefullly not get called up during my college time. id be happy to serve, but in reality its easier if i dont have to during college.
appreciate ur time guys. really do.
