Also if someone in the AF gives you a line of shit that they are wearing black jump wings instead of the blue ones, smack them once for me and a second time for being dumb. There is no regulatuion, or blurb in any regulation that states that if you graduate from the Army static line course that you must wear the black jump wings. It does state that that in order to wear jump wings you must do the following, complete the course (DUH), and remain a volunteer to fill a jump billet or served/jumped for atleast 36 months (can be cumulative). Plus if they have done the 36 months they are required by reg to wear it, it is considered an aeronautical badge.

Not sure what you are getting at for the black jump wings? I have a flight chief here in Hickam who wears his black jump wings over his right name tape. He says its because he also went through the USMC portion of the Army Airborne school.

Also if one of your studs is wearing a Pathfinder or Air Assault badge (a.k.a Bull Winkle Badge), they need to remove that as well.

I think what it comes down to is that alot of these guys feel that they've gone through the pain, sweat, and tears for the patch. So a guy who's been through the Pathfinder school or the Airborne school is going to wear that patch until he's forced to take it off. I can tell you one thing, next month I hope to leave for SERE Indoc. When I make it through the Tech School in Jul, I'll have the opportunity to go to Airborne, HALO, Military SCUBA, and lots of other schools. You can bet your ass I'm wearing them if my commander allows.
