When he says doubtful, he really means: No way in hell. It's a straight shot. You might get lucky and graduate right before christmas exodus...that's not a good chance.

You go straight from Basic to Airborne hold, then you go to Airborne school, where upon graduation, you go to start the selection, or whatever it's called. My room-mate did that, he had a heat stroke, yada yada yada..the point is, you don't get leave between any of those normally, there are certain circumstances though.
