Re: Wounded???
Here is something that may help you out with the question.
A MSgt that is on one of the teams had a piece of shrapnel peirce his right temple and exit through his right eye. Needless to say he lost the eye, but did not want to quit our job. So I gave him some of my paperwork that I had to do for my hip and he started the process for getting back all of his WWD (World Wide Deployable) qualifications.
As of right now he has controlled about 10 different CAS missions (and did a damn good job) and has performed 2 static line jumps. He needs to perform 3 more (day) and then a night, night equipment, and a night MASS TAC. Once those squares are filled he will "acquire" his static line status back.
After that he will try to "acquire" his HALO status as well.
Now keep in mind he could have gotten out with a nice chunk of disability but he waived it (for a smaller chunk when he does retire) to stay in.
Proof that you only need one eye to jump and control aircraft!
