Re: Presidential Support

You are fortunate to be on the CQB team.

One bit of advice, if I may... I've dealt with a lot of 03XX Marines who come into the FMF to a deploying battalion from the security force billets that you describe. Many of them were NCOs who knew everything that you'd ever want to know about conducting a guard mount, but no longer knew their primary MOSs. Whether through your training NCO or on your own, make sure that you maintain your MOS skills in addition to the CQB. This includes your land nav skills, call for fire, and squad and platoon offensive and defensive tactics.

It may be that these are already incorporated into your training schedule. Your CQB skills will carry you a long way if/when you go to a rifle platoon.

Good luck out there.
