I've been hearing more and more stories of this happening which I think is just sad that someone would have to resort to this. We had a girl who was on leave come into our recruiting office this week and was telling us all about Navy life. She told us a story about one of her friends who had her identity stolen. She was her best friend and stole her card and since they were best friends she knew all her personal information. She said the girl had saved up all deployment and had about $8000 in her account and when she went to check it she only had $400 left. She has tried to change her information and everything on her account but since they can't find the other girl and she knows all her information she keeps getting into her account. I'm not sure how you'd stop this from happening but its a shame it has to happen in the first place.
