What I meant was having an MOS that gives me a reasonable amount of time to take online college courses while on active duty.
The current MOS I have is something I wouldn't want to do when I get commissioned. The main reason why I want to go active is to get experience. I don't think there would be much sense in me going active with my current MOS which is near the bottom of my "Would Enjoy to Branch In" list. I'm thinking Intel, Counter Intel, HUMINT, Psyops, and Civil Affairs. Although I haven't found many individuals that can give me first hand experience of what a typical day is like.

So you're saying I wouldn't be able to go active for 2 years then spend 6 years in the reserves since I enlisted for 6 years in the reserves and 2 in the IRR?
