Vulture you are right. Its part of General order #1. In Quatar you get up to 3 drinks a night. They have ration cards. Right before I left a troop from Hawaii was brought up on charges of being intoxicated. What did he consume ....... cough syrup.
Troops have resulted to doing this and the military will nail you.
As far as the DUI signs, yeah I thinks it a joke as well. But damn near every AF base them. Not to say that the AF is the only one, its designed to be a deterrant. Pope went as far as to seperate their board. Pope has AMC ans ACC personnel. When you come throughthe gate it has XX days since the last ACC DUI and XX days since the last AMC DUI.
The 82nd ABD will give soldiers a day off if they go 82 days without a soldier getting killed on or off duty. Wartime theater deaths do not count. You would be suprised at how many troops get a DUI each weekend. Whats even more suprising are the individuals that think they can actually get through the gate without getting caught.
