BDU's as uniform
Is it written somewhere that cadets are allowed to wear BDU's once a month or what? I know uniform wear differs from unit to unit but in my unit, only AS-4's are allowed to wear BDU's once a month. I have 2 sets from paintballing. I keep one pair nice for some of the activities afterschool that we might be alloewd to wear them for.

Re: BDU's as uniform
wow my unit it in philadelphia doesn't even have BDU's, just to be able to wear them once would be a privilige in my unit.
Alpha I'm originally from the boston area and I might be moving back, do you know if west roxbury high has a Jrotc unit? |

Re: BDU's as uniform
My unit was allowed to wear BDU's once a month a couple years ago, but it got to be a hassle because alot of the cadets wouldn't wear them right and stuff like that, so we just did away with it.

I know CAP is different from AFJROTC but we wear BDUs like 2 or 3 times a month. But you have to understand we have a very different sqadron than most.

West Roxbury has a JROTC. we compete against them in drill comps. I'm pretty sure its Navy, but they suck. The only people in our drill league that matter is us and Lowell. What's the name of your high school Alpha? We probably compete against you guys.

Re: BDU's as uniform
Hmmmm... well, most of those Masshole schools are Navy, except for Lowell(Mass, salior). I think there's a few Army schools down there, too, but they all dropped out of our league. They're getting back into it this year, though. Basically, as far as I can see, most Mass schools are navy and most NH school's are air force. It's weird. I should be able to give you some more info once drill season starts. I forget most of them right now.

Whoa. Massachusetts has a ton of AFJROTC programs. I'm from North Quincy High (Our drill teams suck). Taunton... Burncoat high from Qoecester, and Quincy High School are all AFJROTC, and I know theres got to be at least 10 more in eastern mass.

Re: BDU's as uniform
Sucks you guys can’t wear cammies, er . . . “BDU’s”. I loved my cammies, wore them as much as possible, it think its because of the boots, boots rock! For our cadets cammies were issued to everybody. Only the intelligent/privileged ones were issued Charlie’s, and the most aweomse of us all were issued Blues. Mostly because not too many cadets could keep a uniform clean and inspection ready. I know some ROTC units aren’t allowed to wear cammies because of geographical location. AKA a High School down in South LA shipped all their cammies to us because they were deemed inappropriate to wear in that area. Sucks for them.
