Second, we don't insult each other other's jobs like that around here. Believe me, if I wanted to , I could rip you a new ass about being a mechanic. Anyway, calm down a little. Grow up, Dinstarr. Those examples I gave you were examples of times Security Forces are there to help you, not wether you'll be able to take care of it yourself. Your responses only show just how long a way until you grow up. Your statement of how you would never get your ass beat only makes me laugh and I'll just leave it at that.

I take that very seriouly. In my opinion the whole DAMN Miitary's motto should be "Never Leave A Man Behind" Security detail isn't fun, They will save your ass, when that tango tries to get on base. When that guy is breaking in your car (fuck your locks). When you are getting your ass beat by the guy who says screw you martial arts, and shoots you, then they'll take you to the hospital if he gets a shot off, then they'll arrest or kill the bastard. You ought to be ashamed of yourself, you are a disgrace. Banter is one thing, insulting is another.

Fire back if you've got the balls. I wouldn't if I were you though.

Damn! It appears that I am late to the party again. Hmm....looks as if we can't get away from ignorance! Sorry I have been away so long I have been in the middle of a PCS and now I kinda have access to a computer. I look forward to being online more.

Go ahead and make whatever comments you want to make about me being a mechanic. I want to see what the rest of the Air Force thinks.

By the way, DINSTAAR stands for Danger Is No Stranger To An AGE Ranger. The term AGE RANGER was given to us by the SECURITY FORCES because of how BRAVE AGE mechanics were during the vietnam war. AGE Rangers were always seen on the edges of airbases in vietnam, working on lightcarts and other pieces of equipment. Most of the time, they got shot at. In fact, that is how things still are in forward deployed areas. Another reason that we are called Rangers is because on one airbase in vietnam, the enemy almost overran the base, but the AGE Rangers were the ones who fought off the enemy and kept Air Force planes safe.

go to www.ageranger.com and look at the picture thats on the homepage. That is no joke. Yes that was taken during an exercise, but that is what is going on in forward deployed areas right now. On the left side of the screen, scroll down to the part that says Ranger Flashbacks, and click on the 04s. Somewhere on there, there is a picture of 2 AGE Rangers doing what I described earlier. One Ranger working on a light cart, and another covering him.

Security Forces aren't the only people who work in danger. They just take credit for being the only ones who do. It pisses me off.

Dinstaar, with all due respect... (because I am just a civilian, and I give anyone who volunteers to serve our country a huge amount of respect) but you trash an entire group of people whose jobs are just as vital as yours, just because you have a beef with a couple of guys being cocky, or at least not recognizing your contributions???
