Re: Can anyone go Airborne???
Absolutely.
Pretty much anyone (if not anyone) who is physically qualified can go... I'm not sure if there is even an MOS that can't be airborne. To put it in perspective, if the 82nd needed to jump in somewhere, they are going to need people for the WHOLE DIVISION to be able to jump should there be a spot where the division must go in. E.S. |

Re: Can anyone go Airborne???
Ok, maybe the third time's the charm... hopefully this post makes it through.
Scary, hit it on the head. I can't think of any MOS's off the top of my head that can't be Airborne Qualified. The only problem is getting slotted for the school. So MAKE SURE you get it in your contract. After that it's on you bro. -JR |

Re: Can anyone go Airborne???
It's not really a question of MOS, it is a question of need. There are many MOS that the 82nd or any Division for that matter have no need. If your MOS is 62G Quarrying Specialist, your shit out of luck going Airborne. To say that any MOS can go Airborne is simply not correct. There are hundreds of different MOS in the Army, only a small portion are slotted in any single Division. The more specialized the Division, the less different MOS designations are needed.

I have got to hear some more of these, "top notch" MOS's if you'd please. We ahve gotten rid of most of the jobs in the Navy that are stupid. Just curious.

Re: Can anyone go Airborne???
88N is a transportation MOS, what you will be doing depends on your skill level. Jump Pay is $150/month and you have to jump at least once every 3 months to keep your pay.
