Officer question

I've been wondering, do you have to be an American citizen by blood to become an officer in the American military, or can you be a Canadian and gain an American citizenship and still do that?

yup, talk to an Officer recruiter, they'll give you the details.

I believe that you just need to be an American Citizen, but ask an officer recruiter like Top said.

I wouldn't see why they wouldn't allow you to be one. But just in case- check with recruiter.

you just have to be an American citizen...Naturalized or natural born

They said it right. The reason is this; as an Officer you are granted a Secret clearance, can't get that if you're not an American citizen.

You have to be a citizen. You dont have to be born here. I was in ROTC with someone who became a citizen as a 2d year cadet.
