Military during College

Right now I am a junior in high school and am considering joining up with the guards this summer. I was just wondering though if this would be the best option for college. I plan on going active duty after, but for college what do you guys think would be the best option? I was also thinking like ROTC, but I don't know too much about that. Can I change my mind if I go to boot camp this summer and after high school decide I wanna go rotc or something?

P.S. Whats up with these recruiters? What do they get for signing me up? I am planning on EVENTUALLY signing up, but I talked to 2 recruiters in different branches and im constantly getting stuff sent in the mail and other stuff like they're trying to sell me something. I don't really mind it but its kinda wierd.
