Eye surgery rules USMC

The list to get eye surgery is almost two years now for the USMC and Im joining next year so I wanted to ask about the rules about gettin eye surgery before headin to BC for the USMC, thanx in advance (I know Insurance pays for it but I am willing to fork over the cash to get it early)

Depending on what your plans are, I'd say wait. If you're interested in anything aviation related, at least talk to a military flight surgeon before you do it. There may also be some other fields where you might want to make sure you get the right kind of eye surgery.

Yea because I am going to need laser eye surgery when I join and I read on the different types of laser eye surgery and to join like the navy seals or marine scout/snipers you can only have RPK surgery done, not lasik or anything else. I think for aviation you can have lasik done. Just search for it in google that's where I found it.
