Selective Service

My Niece just got her second letter advising her to register with selective service. Her Dad was all nervous about it. I just laughed of course. I got a letter from selective service when I was 20, telling me that I should register or face the concequences. It was delivered to me at Camp Lejeune.

They don't. But maybe that is why she got the notice since she was just accepted at three major universities.

I dont even know why they still have people registar since draft numbers have not been called since vietnam. And they are not being called for this war so I cant think of any reason to have it.

You are going to beat this to death arent you? They register in case there is a great enough National Emergency to require huge numbers of man power. I'm beginning to see a trend in your posts that gives a good reason why you never made it in the service.......
