Astigmatism (Ghosting) - Enlistment

Okay, here's the deal. I'm in my second year of college and I plan on enlisting afterwards (in a couple more years). The thing is, I have some astigmatism in my right eye and slight myopia in my left. I know both of these conditions are passable within certain diopters (which they are), but I am concerned over "ghosting".

I'm not at the point yet where I need to wear glasses, but I do see some slight ghosting (occasionally white text on a black background will lift or an object in a dim light will have a faint vertical "ghost"). I went to my optometrist and he just shrugged it off and told me it was just my astigmatism and that it could be fixed with glasses (he checked with corneal topography as well and it isn't irregular astigmatism). I'm confused because many people have ghosting with regular astigmatism (it's a common symptom), but I am unsure if the military considers it to be "diplopia" which is a DQ. If it can be fixed with glasses would it matter? I don't have crossed eyes or anything, it's just astigmatism. Astigmatism is a very common eye condition, so I'm unsure if it would be considered "real diplopia".

Can anyone shed some light on this?
