Like has already been said, what makes you think that they just gave up? Have you ever been in a firefight? Have you ever seen your buddies killed or wounded? If so, then you have a right to your opinion, if not then you have no right. You say you are in the NG. I can't believe that you would blast your fellow soldiers that way. I totally agree with you Ken.
Knowing already what kind of brutality these insurgents are capable of, I know that any soldier would never willing lay down his weapons.

I wasn't blasting them. I'm just not buying everything the media is telling us about the situation thats all.

actually i heard in the Times that the killed teh driver and took them by surprise...essentially bumm rushing the Humvee and then 8 of them jumped out on foot and surrounded the humvee.

when they found the bodies all the bullet wounds were post mortem
one had his throat cut, and the other was beheaded with a smal knife.

which means they weren't shot in the humvees. and Eye witnesses who saw from afar said they saw them shoot at the humvee. ( killing the driver)
help me draw a conculsion here.

i can't find an offical autopsy report.

Now I'm not a dr.. or anything ( and lets be honest who would want me as a Dr. nothing good could come from that) but doesnt post mortem mean after they were already dead?

I still don't get your point. I fully understand that you don't buy into the media crap, but no one knows what their fate was but themselves. And I just honestly think we should let those guys rest. Fact of the matter is, they are no longer with us - unfortunately. Give them the respect they deserve and don't question their actions during their battle. Instead let's hope no other of our soldiers have to go through that!
