military awards
I was talking to a several soldiers that got out of Infantry OSUT and some of them had GWOT service ribbons on and some did not. I was wondering why some ITB battalions awarded them and others did not. If they are doing the exact same thing while they are there, why are they awarding them like this?

Re: military awards
That doesn't make sense to me either unless they are prior service and/or reclassing from a different MOS and had already performed service in the GWOT.

Re: military awards
I do know that the guys I talked to were not prior service, just regular privates coming out of OSUT that recieved it.
Maybe there is something I am missing, but I still don't understand it. |
