Let me back in!

I'd really like to go back into the army, but am not sure if I'd be wasting my time trying to get back in.

RE code 3, seperation code JFX (personality disorder)

I know it's a case-by-case basis, and with an RE code of 3 you can get back in with a waiver, but my uncertainty comes from the condition of my release.

Basically I was having problems with depression due to problems with my wife (now ex-wife)....I told them I was having suicidal thoughts and two months later I was out of the Army. I've been out since January 2006.

Can I still get back in?

I'm not at all qualified to give you any advice about re-enlisting,
but hopefully someone here can.
I would imagine that a lot would depend on your current state of mind.
If the source of the depression is gone, (former spouse) lets hope the negative vibes have left as well.

Try going to the Army Recruiting website and ask. You could also go to the local VA Hospital and talk to a Psychiatrist. Explain the problem and your desire. He might help with the waiver.
