New Army Uniform - On TV!

I had a chance lastnight to see some General in Iraq wearing the new digi's for the Army - sharp, very sharp looking. A lot better than some of the web photos I have seen! I know AD is starting to get their issue - does anybody know when they are slated for reserve?

I remember hearing something about everyone getting them by 2008.........

Three different versions of the ACU have been developed, and more than 10,000 uniforms have been produced and dragged through the sand in Iraq and at Army training centers. Even more are on American production lines to be issued by April 2005 to Soldiers in deploying units. Fielding to the total Army should be complete by December 2007, said officials from the Program Executive Office, known as PEO Soldier.

they start issuing them at IADT in march of '05 and they are mandatory by March of i belive '07 but i could be wrong.

Kind of funny that the future of the Army is already the Marines Present, if you want to see how these uniforms look the Marines have them im sure yours will be almost the same but with out the tiny EGA's and the EGA on the pocket that covers ours.
