Re: Army benefits
You should have already received your enlistment bonus if you have finished basic / ait or OSUT and have reported to your first unit. If not, contact contact finance through your Admin section.
For education benifits, you need to apply through you education councilor (if one available for unit) or through councilors at your school of choice. You have to be enrolled in classes to apply. Again, work with your admin section to get the ball rolling. |

Re: Army benefits
Call up to Helena to the HALFRAK and talk to I beleive it is still CW3 Jenson, he is the state benifits officer. He is the one I went through when I was getting my bonus. Major DeWolf can handle all of your education benifits if she is still in that position. I did all of this three years ago so they may have moved positions. That will get you started though. The best place to start is in S-1, they can direct you to the people who deal with these issues. If MSG Cavanaugh is still there talk to him. He is very knowledgible and can tell you exactly who to go see. He is very easy to talk to and that is why I recommend you go straight to him.

Even if you're chain of command is thin go to battalion, they should know. Look the number up in the phone book.

Re: Army benefits
Sorry I havn'tj gotten back to this board before but I have been very busy. The POC in Helena is Mr. Nelson. He is the warrent officer you need to talk to about your benifits. I know that you are having problems with chain of command because they are deployed. In fact I was at the armory this morning adn was handed my orders. I amgoing to Helena on the 1-3 of April preparing for deployment to Iraq.
