Spitfire, you have the right to whine about anything you please. I was raised in a military family and have every respect for military spouses. My mom was a military spouse for well over twenty years. Subsequently, I would not speak like a Grunt to either of you. However, if either of you try to whine about how I talk to other Grunts or grunt-wannabes, you are playing in the wrong playground. You want to complain here out in the open and I'll light into your ass just like a Grunt. You are in my line of fire Ma'am. Kindly un-ass this AO. You want to take it private and PM me then I will respond in a manner comensurate with your station in life.
If the cheese dicks, studs, and heroes can't handle the heat here how do you expect them to handle the heat of a two-way rifle range? Have you ever thought that once they see the real world attitude of a Grunt they might change their mind and decide to pursue their military career in a non-combat MOS? Hell, an act like that could save your husband and or son's life (or even my little brother's who is also a Grunt). At the very least it would save the taxpayers the expense of failing some pogue out of Infantry training.

If that's not enough for you, well this is a military site, sucks to be you.

Top, no offense taken and no reason to hit you, I know my role here, and I try like hell not to put my foot in my mouth too often. I also know a lot of wannabees come in here half cocked, without a clue, and dont have any measure of respect for those who have "been there - done that." Like Covert says, he is going to talk to grunts and potential grunts like grunts, the way its always been done and I have never had a problem with it or the language... besides I have been known to cuss worse than a sailor at times if someone makes me mad enough.

Covertness. how hard is it to become Ranger Qualified in the National Guard.
Some one earlier was speaking about "Ranger Slots" in NG units. Can some one explain this to me.

A Ranger slot is basically that unit's allottment of people they can send to Suck School. NG units, I'd be willing to bet, are extremely limited in the number of slots (if any) they might have. If you are asking how hard it might be for you to get one of these slots that would depend on a number of factors. If you are an Infantry Officer, chances are extremely good. If you are a cherry enlisted puke (even with a combat arms MOS), chances are slim to none. You gotta prove yourself to your unit and those who decide on who to send for what slots they might have. If you have yet to enlist, figure on making E-5 or better before you get to go.
Note, I never served in the National Guard so it might actually be harder to get one of these slots than I imply.

295 before my injury, no f'in idea what I'd score now considering I'm now a brokedick. Can't wait to get this surgery and get myself back in shape.
