11b & 11c

I was wondering how does one get assigned 11B or 11C?
Does 11C do the same work as 11B but has the exrta knowledge of mortor operations? I appreciate all the info! Thanks!

You dont really get to choose if you want to be a Bravo or Charlie. Your just assigned one at basic. 11C's are mortarmen, yes, and units will cross train their grunts but mortars are their primary job.

You probably have more of a chance becoming a Bravo jst because theres more Bravos then Charlies. For example, our Company only has 2 mortar teams I think, maybe 3.

I'am just a mom who doesn't understand alot about the A_B_C attached to the units,but i am learning kinda as i go,i did find out that in a charlie unit they are all experts and that some or maybe all have a sniper rifle,i don't know if this is true for all or just for that one.
the B's that are with them do the artillary,is how it was explained to me,i do know that they are all very very very busy.
also some in the charlie unit have been thru sniper course
