Re: Question
I think it's an easy A, but I'm just good at it. some people struggle with it and last year we had only a few people with A's. It's pretty much a given what you do during it... you march and wear a uniform and learn customs and courtisies(and I can't spell...), but the other parts of it really depend on which brach of JROTC it is. I'm in Air Force so we also have a section which is history of flight, then science of flight, space travel and managment. So it's academic, too. It really depends on the school and the person whether or not it's an easy A.

Re: Question
Jrotc is easy if you have the passion for it and you work hard, I thought it was going to be a breeze but it turned out academics was a major role along with a bunch of other small things that add up[leadership, drill, uniform] and I slacked off a little until I was told by my SASI to get my act together, but I love it and I will by next year I be the unit's 2nd in cadet command cause I'll be a senior!

Re: Question
Depends on the school/branch. JROTC is a class designed to basically familiarize you with the military and give you some knowledge into history, etc.
It is only hard if you don't give a shit and you don't show up. If you apply yourself you'll get an A no prob. I was in JROTC for 4 yrs. A Marine Corps school in the southeast... We were statechamps my senior year. So I do know a little about what I'm talking about. If you fuck off and you think it's going to be a class you can reeze through you'll be hating yourself later. You will need to apply yourself to pass. -JR |

Re: Question
that's cause people in the south think the military's the best thing in the world and gives the kids discipline while in the north they all think the military wants to brainwash all the kids.

Re: Question
If you are looking to get into JROTC because you think it will help your GPA (original post "is it an easy A"?) I'd just as soon you didnt get into it, somehow I dont think you are the type to make a good officer in the future..............just my opinion you understand.

Re: Question
honestly It should be more tough then it already is, If the goverment would make the program more realstic and give us more benefits for wanting to start a military career if were out of jrotc I would be more happy. But me and like 2 other cadets recruited like 30 people and only 7 made it past the first year ):
