Admiral John B. Nathman Visits NROTC

Admiral John B. Nathman On the 26th of January, 2006, Admiral John B. Nathman visited the University of South Florida and spoke to the ROTC units as well as civilian political science students. Admiral Nathman graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1970 and qualified as an aviator in 1972. After several various assignments, Admiral Nathman served as Vice Commander of Naval Operations from August 2004 to February 2005. He assumed command of United States Fleet Forces Command on February 18th, 2005. During his speech he spoke of his experiences. He detailed several of the world's current military situations and what the United States Navy is accomplishing. After his speech he answered questions on politics and the future of the Navy. All in all, the admiral's visit was enjoyable and left the crowd with increased confidence in our Navy.
