Re: Scholarships
Actually I'm on a 4 yr AROTC scholarship to Eastern Michigan University. And I'm sure Scary can help also. I applied in November of my senior year, and I knew by late Feb, so you should know soon.

Re: Scholarships
I applied for mine last october and didn't find out about it till November. I didn't even get contracted till almost the end of February. Just remember that the squeaky wheel gets the oil. Not to mention the army's "hurry up and wait" policy. Right now I'm waiting for my tuition to get paid.

Re: Scholarships
Well I guess I don't have to worry about a scholarship anymore. I called up about it the other day and they said I will not recieve one because 21 is too low of an act score. WTF!! 21 is the national average and 19 is the bare minimum for applying. I have a 3.2 gpa, i'm involved in rugby, jrotc, science olympiad, + many more to list. Plus i've recieved military awards through jrotc. Not to mention I am in the guard. The act scores were their only justification for not giving me anything. I am bitter right now and I will be getting over it eventually. So i'll stop complaining right now. Sorry everyone.

Re: Scholarships
Just because you don't get one now doesn't mean you won't pick one up later... stick with it... persistance is the key...

Re: Scholarships
i got a 3-year(maybe upgraded to 3.5 or maybe 4, depending on extra funds) at Western Michigan University, i'll be commuting there, since i'll be attending another university, but i'm still pretty pumped about that. And like the people before me said, based on you performance your freshmen and/or sophomore year you can reapply for one and get a 3 or 2 year. So kick some ass in college in the classroom and in the program. as far as the ACT thing goes, i have a 27 and got offered a 3-year, not 4 for which i applied, so a 21 might be a little low compared to the competition. but definately shoot for one once you get there.
