Original Stuff

hey. Ok. My unit's recently begun to start a whole bunch of new stuff so I was wondering if any of you guys' u :pannedt nits have any of this stuff, how it works, etc. Also, is there anything your unit has that not many others do? What is it, how does it work. This way we can all get new ideas for our unit. Always good to get new stuff rolling.

ok. first thing we're doing this year is our 5 year reunion. This is the 5th year our unit exists, so it's our first reunion. The Col said he's never heard of another unit that has a 5 year reunion, so do any of you guys? We're gonna make it a senior class project every 5 years and we're inviting back all the people who graduated out of our program.

The second thing we're starting is a drum and bugle corps. Do any of you guys have one of these? Basically me and a couple of other band geeks put it in the suggestion box thinking they'd just throw it out, but the guy who reads the suggestion box stuff is our drum major, so he's actually starting one sometime this month. I have no idea what it's gonna do yet, so let me know if you know of any units that have one or w/e.

No, we do not have 5 years reunions, as no one can quite remember how far back our ROTC goes, just a long, long time. Yes, We have a Drum and Bugle Corps as the Marine Corps in famous for our Band, "The President's Own," and our Drum and Bugle Corps, "The Commandant's Own." As for 5 years reunions usually we have cadets from years past drop by to say howdy. We end up with a bunch of Marines, a few soldiers, usually no air force or navy, a few academy cadets, rotc cadets, and a couple of civvies. We also have 3 male and 2 female Color Guards, we do not mix color guards as the air force cadets do. We also have 5 drill teams, Male Standard Unarmed, Male Standard Armed, Male Armed Exhibition, Female Standard Armed, and Female Armed Exhibition. I have no idea what the "wacky....guy....thing" is. And did I read that the AFJROTC has a fucking suggestion box? Are you kidding me?

what's your drum and bugle corps do? we're just starting it next week and aren't really sure what it's gonna do yet. Yeah, our unit has a suggestion box. Always looking for ways to improve the program.
