Re: helicopter requirements

Standing Height
64 inches minimum to 77 inches maximum for both pilot and navigator qualification.
Sitting Height
34 inches minimum (pilot) and 33 inches minimum (navigator) to 40 inches maximum (both), measured while sitting erect, the distance from top of head to chair seat.

Thse are the Air Force requirements, but the requirements are pretty much the same for both services.

You can find more information at About.com or do a google search under "Army Helicopter Pilots," "Aviation Warrant Officer Requirements," etc.

Good luck

Re: helicopter requirements

I'm thinking as long as you can see over the dash and operate the windshield wipers you are good to go! Or as long as your nugget isn't smacking the roof

Re: helicopter requirements

Well, you'd have to talk to them - they have the height requirements for a reason. Large aircraft do not necessarily have large, spacious cockpits.
