Important Song
Name an important song or album and the event in your life that it reminds you of. I will kick it off.
Phil Collins-No Jacket Required. My year and a half in Mogadishu, Somalia. It was what I listened to when I worked out. |

Re: Important Song
Cheryl Crow "All I Wanna Do"... It's not that I particularly care for the song, but it makes me think of Okinawa. I swear AFN radio played it every third song..

Re: Important Song
"This is the new sh*t" by Marilyn Manson, is one of those songs that just keeps me going. With the lyrics "Do we need it? (NO!!) Do we want it? (YEAH!!!!!)" always gets me in the mood for some PT. As well as "Die MotherF|_|cker Die" by Dope. Once you listen to them, you'll realize what I mean.

Re: Important Song
I've got a load of songs that I identify with. The band that has consistently been there through the good and bad is Coldplay. I associate "Yellow" with my first year at uni, "The Scientist" with being dumped and Speed of Sound when I was preparing to start my training.

Re: Important Song
Every time I hear any song off of Def Leppard's greatest hits album, and "I dont care any more" by Phil Collins, it reminds me of the love of my life... mostly it just makes me sad though *sigh*
oh and ... Brown Eye'd Girl is my song! ![]() -Kim |

Re: Important Song
For some reason I think of riding the school bus in junior high school every time I hear Guns-n-Roses "Paradise City".. The stoners in the back were always playing it on their "boom box"..lol

Avida and Talk About Pop Music (not sure if those are the actual titles)
Every time I hear one of those two songs I can see the broken concrete of magsisi (sp?), smell the stink of shit river and hear the "hey GI" of the ladies. -Mac |
