Re: Army Jump School
Our CO pinned our Wings, but he was not real aggressive about it. When we got back to the Troop, our Plt Sgt lined us up, walked down the line and offically welcomed us. All the time, LHAO. We made our Cherry Jump just a few days after Graduating Jump School. I was damn glad to get it out of the way, I think I hated being called a Cherry almost as much as a leg.

Re: Army Jump School
Jump school is not terribly difficult in and of itself. The PT is plentiful, but isn't all that demanding. It's mainly done to weed out those who might be hiding injuries sustained in the training. The actual training consists of a lot of repetition of things such as parachute landing falls (learning to fall down properly), learning proper exits from aircraft, and learning emergency procedures. It's simple stuff, but the constant "falling down" from various heights can take a toll on the body. If you're in decent shape and don't mind being a little sore you'll be fine.
