i am planing to join the cap. i would do it this week but my grades are falling so i have to get that up but thanks to all that anwser my qusetions

No problem. Have you talked to your local unit yet? Some units require a minimum GPA, some do not. A lot of units also require you to attend three meetings before you can send in the paper work. Good Luck!!

good luck in CAP. Make sure you take advantage of everything. Most cadets come in not ever going to anything but local activities. Go to everything you can. Any wing functions, region functions, FTX's SAREX's, Color Guard, drill team, Encampments, ect. And make sure you go to as many National Cadet Special ACtivities that you can go too. Go to more than one a year. Go to as many as you can.

Also I think that you should get promoted slowly, technically you can promote every two months, but take your time, make sure you know the material, and dont' get in a rush to "outrank" anyone. Be sure to be ready for the responisbility that rank has. you have plenty of time do not rush yourself.
