Actually it is, when I was 16 a couple of friends of mine and I were snorkling off the cliffs near Laguna Beach here in So Cal. Waited to long to get out of the cove we had left our gear in got trapped in a small cave and spent 6 hours waiting for the tide to go out.

well don't feal bad when i was living on Long Island NY this past summer saw a few peoples boats that ran aground pretty much had to wait till the tides turned.
