Army Announces Logistics Branch
The Department of the Army announced today, Dec. 13, the establishment of a new branch which will become effective Jan. 1, 2008. The Logistics Branch is the newest branch of the Army for commissioned officers, established by General Order of the Secretary of the Army. Ordnance, Quartermaster and Transportation officers from the ranks of captain through colonel will be united into the Logistics Branch. This change will occur across all components of the Army.
