Ft. Huachuca
I'm trying to get some basic information on the Intel schools at Ft. Huachuca, but haven't had much success searching the web (no AKO account). Can anyone here give me just some basic scoop on the schools / courses there - specifically, the names of the schools/courses, duration, and typical student rank?
Thanks |

Re: Ft. Huachuca
I realize that I've asked pretty broad question, so I'll try to narrow it down a little bit.
Specifically, I'm looking primarily at the courses that the 326th MI Battalion runs for the basic and advanced intel officers schools, as well as Warrant Officer courses. Without getting into OPSEC, what are the official names of the courses, how long are they, and in the case of the advanced courses, when in an officer's career do they attend? Are the advanced courses aimed to provide MI officers at the Brigade level, or higher? |

Re: Ft. Huachuca
I found this link from army.mil http://usaic.hua.army.mil/ , its worked in the past when i was looking at the classes for MIOBC, but today it didn't come up. I think it should answer the questions you have, but just a matter of if/when the link works again.

Re: Ft. Huachuca
Thanks Rich... I've been trying that site (and a couple of others) and they keep coming up with a "can't find server" message. Glad to know that it's not just me. I'm asking because I've been tasked with putting together a presentation to address education issues in military intelligence (long story... don't ask).

Re: Ft. Huachuca
It seems as though all the Army sites are a little out of whack.... Depending on the time of day certain sites come up or can't find server. Getting into the OCS site is a hassle & a half....same w/ the MI site, but i know for a fact it has all class descriptions for all the classes from AIT to Officers Advanced Course

But...
People complain when there government hides things from them. The info is well guarded and super general I'm sure. -Rich |

Re: Ft. Huachuca
Actually Huachuca is HOT HOT HOT in the summer, in the winter it is fricken cold, I mean COLD, what you dont realise is yes, its in the desert, but in the mountains too! I was there from Nov-Apr, and it was more often freezing then hot, and im from Chicago and im complaining of cold! LOL Any questions about Huachuca and the surrounding town? I could give a list of all the good places to go and things to do. And if you are going to be a 96B (THE ONLY REAL INTEL! GO DELTA DOGS! 305th MI ALL THE WAY!) i could give you some tips on making it through the course.
