Re: Carlos Hathcock is my hero
93 confirmed kills, that guy kicks ass. I read his book, and it talked about him putting a scope on an M2 .50 Cal machine gun, and taking out the gooks!!

Re: Carlos Hathcock is my hero
Yea both me and my recruiter have read both books about Carlos Hathcock. My recruiter especially liked the part where Hathcock used a .50 caliber machine gun as a sniper rifle and shot the kid's bike out. He likes that part because he was a machine gunner. I liked Hathcock's mentality, he could always remain cool and calm.

I was on hill 55 when ue was there and I talked to him a couple of times. Seemed to be just another Marine. But what a Marine he was.

Re: Carlos Hathcock is my hero
Yea must have been nice to meet a marine such as him. All I get to do is read about him. But he thought he was just another marine too. He was never too cocky, he didn't know that he would be remembered so long. He didn't know that he was going to be the hero that he turned out to be in all our eyes.
