A Veterans Day Tribute honoring Army Specialist Robert Wise of Tallahassee, a graduate of Amos P. Goby High School, who gave his life in service to his country on November 12, 2003.


Mad props to HBO for doing this. I hope you all of you stateside have a chance to watch this on the 11th. As far as I know they are unscrambling HBO for everyone.

I like the idea, as long as the intent is to honor the service of the departed. Period. I recently came across a documentary on an obscure satellite channel. It was touted as being about a Vietnam vet amputee who was volunteering with families of servicemembers wounded and killed in Iraq. What it actually was, was a politically-charged (read, anti-Bush/anti Iraq war) diatribe, using the poor grieving families of casualties as propoganda fodder.
