Carson City Invite
We went to Carson City MI on September 30th. This was the biggest race in the state this month and there were 175 people in my division alone. Last year I got about 45th place here with a time of 17:50. But this year was different, the top 30 got medals and I managed to scrape together 14th place with a time of 17:04. I swear I have to break the 17 minute mark by this week or next week or else my coach is going to kill me.

How far you running? And please, none of that euro kilometer stuff. When thinking times and runs I need miles and yards.
Gratz on winning a place in the medal bunch. -Mac |

Re: Carson City Invite
Not bad. The best I ever did on a 3 mile PFT run was 17:53. That was the only time I ever broke 18. My usual "good" times were in the 21 area.
So these are invitational meets? Your regular season over? -Mac |

Well done Krahn! Keep up the training and you'll soon be running sub 17min 5Ks. Do you compete on the track as well or do any fell running?

Re: Carson City Invite
No our regular season is over October 18th. Then comes regionals and then comes state. I would do nationals but I have wrestling season to think about. I should run a sub 17 minute run either this Saturday or next Saturday, and trust me, I will be sure to post it. I also do track in the spring and I do the mile, two mile, and two mile relay in that. I can run a sub 5 minute mile and I am pretty pleased with that. I also pole vault too but I am not the greatest but I can go to regionals for it this year, my highest jump was 11 feet.

^ shin splints are nasty but they can be avoided if you choose the right kind of shoe and also if you change them after so many miles of wear
