Test: 2004 Presidential Candidate Alignment
On the topic of political party affiliation, here’s an arguably good test to see with which 2004 presidential candidate you most closely align yoursself… you could give it a swing, and maybe even post up your results… you MAY be surprised at the findings… remember to answer honestly… (Leave the default checks in #17 as they are, i.e. don't select/unselect them)

78% Bush, (that's kinda scary) I must have done something wrong. Oh well.

I was almost the same way.. I think the lesser percentage has to do with how importantly you rate the issues. That's the only thing I can come up with.

Re: Test: 2004 Presidential Candidate Alignment
Currently, I feel that focusing on foreign affairs should be our primary interest. I'd be willing to bet that domestic affairs would fall in line once there is more international stability b/w our and other allied nations. Along those same lines, Kerry's inward policy platform would be a leap in the wrong direction if we just decided to turn our attention almost all at once to the home front. I don't understand how he can boast that he could get more allied support when he acts like we don't even belong over there at all, and he wants to start a stand-down in numbers when the job is not done.
I think I hit on what you were asking, lol ~Nick |

Re: Test: 2004 Presidential Candidate Alignment
Actually, NCSU is a considerably more conservative school than our neighbors across the way (UNC Chapel Hill). We have a College Republicans program that boasts some 150+ people, and I can say that I’m very pleased with the Bush support up here. The classes that I have taken here aren’t slanted/biased, and I think that would be an easy thing to do in a University setting where education/tax dollars/liberal ideals would seem to run rampant. All-and-all it’s a great environment. How about yours? Are you affiliated with the ROTC program up there?

Re: Test: 2004 Presidential Candidate Alignment
I'm in the Army's College First Program (can explain if necessary, not well known), not w/ ROTC. This school is definately more slanted to the left. From the students to even some faculty. There is a young repubs group here, but they dont do much to be honest. I think the young dems & anti-war orgs are way more heard of and outspoken. There have been a couple anti-war protests & really teh only counter-protests were by adult-oriented Repub groups. I'm a poli sci major, so i constantly fight the good fight in class w/out much support.

Nick, I moved your thread here as the other forum is for offbeat news. Great test btw.
I got 83% Bush and was also surprised it wasn't higher. -Chief Muppet |

Re: Test: 2004 Presidential Candidate Alignment
I was gonna retake the test to get a different result, but it doesn't matter.
1. Your ideal theoretical candidate. (100%) Click here for info 2. Kerry, Senator John, MA - Democrat (63%) Click here for info 3. Bush, President George W. - Republican (58%) Click here for info Jeez. Doesn't matter. I'm a strong Bush supporter and I've already sent in my early ballot. I'm too tired to go back and figure out the reasons I got these results. -Jorge |

can't you see what kerry is doing to you? if you have enough sense, try doing some research first before following whatever comes out of his mouth... or maybe you are afraid to face the fact this is the REAL WORLD!
