Brooklyn, Michigan (State Race)
Well, the race went okay if you consider my time. This was the first time I ever broke 17 minutes for the 3.1 miler. I ran a 16:52 and got 68th place overall. The time, for me, was excellent but I was very dissappointed in the placing. My coach and everyone else I know says I did a good job and people I don't even know in my school are clapping me on the back saying I did awesome. Oh well, I will beat all those other guys my senior year. I am training for a marathon now. April 1st, the Martian marathon in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Thanks for following my cross-country season you guys, now its over. I will think about posting the wrestling season if anybody cares to know.

Garin,
As long as you beat your own time, that's something you should be proud of. Don't let the fact that 67 other people are a little faster negate the pride you should feel in achieving your own "personal best". Judging from the reaction of your classmates, they think your performance was great and you should be very pleased. -Pat |

Wow, sub 17 for a 3.1 mile cross country. I dont know jack about what's good and what's not in regards to high school track times but dang, I know for sure, no matter how hard I'd have trained, I could never have ran that time at any age.
Well Done Sir Krahn. And yes, keep us up to speed on the wrestling. -Mac |

Re: Brooklyn, Michigan (State Race)
Great job Garin and Grimmy is right. A sub 17min PB is something to be very proud of. Good luck with your marathon training and be careful not to increase your mileage too quickly to avoid injury.
Look forward to hearing how you get on with the wrestling season. -Chief Muppet |
