Could I make a little request/suggestion?

I'm not real sure where to bring this up, but I figure most of the regulars read this board, so I'll post it here.

Could we maybe refrain from posting pictures of maimed Marines and Soldiers in the little featured picture bar that shows up above the forums? I know a lot of you folks might find something moving or uplifting in a picture of a Marine trying to salute with a stump where his right hand should be, but being a guy who's seen enough of that shit happen first hand and has to go back to that goddamn sandbox for another nine months later this year, I find those pictures deeply disturbing and a bit of a frightening reminder of what might be in store for me in the not too distant future.

I don't want to sound like a weak-kneed bitch or that I'm making some kind of a threat, but if I have to keep looking at that shit, I'll probably stop visiting this site.

I sent your suggestion on to Roms in case it gets missed in this thread. Those pictures are random images from the galleries - maybe he'll be able to change the settings some way...

In the meantime, you can minimize the "featured photos" section in your browser and it should "remember" that setting unless you clear the cookies on your machine.

To you Panzerman or anyone else out there having to stand the line for the rest of us...if there's anything I'm saying or ranting about that you find offensive, insulting or that gets under your skin, please let me know and I'll cut it with a quickness.
